Street Meat

Hands down one of the best sandwiches I have had in my life. While exploring La Boca, a vibrant community in Buenos Aires, Argentina,  my nose lead me to the wonderful smell of fresh baked bread, sizzling grilled pork, and charred veggies.

La Boca (which translates to “the mouth” in Spanish) used to be the largest shipping port in the city. The brightly colored homes and buildings are very unique looking, and most were assembled from scrap metals and materials that were left over from all of the ship building.

The vibrance and fun of La Boca has truly inspired me when it comes to sandwich making. I love combining colorful greens and veggies that reveal beautiful and satisfying cross sections of sandwich-goodness.
