Tahitian Poisson Cru

It doesn’t get any fresher than this! Tahitian Poisson Cru is the national dish of French Polynesia and is probably the most beautiful and delicious meal I have ever experienced. Raw, fresh caught tuna is marinated in fresh squeezed lime juice and fresh squeezed coconut milk. Crunchy, colorful veggies like cabbage, carrots and green onion are thinly sliced and added to the tuna. It is usually served over rice.

Poisson Cru taught me that sometimes the best dishes are the simplest, and have minimal ingredients.
